Little Light Studio

A 4 week intensive workshop with professional photographer Courtney DeLaura is designed to teach you the basics of digital photography. She'll walk you through learning how to shoot in manual mode, teaching you the technical aspects of digital photography in order to help you improve your photographic skills. The class is set up with weekly lessons and assignments. You'll receive access to a private class message board and gallery where you can interact with your classmates, post your lesson assignments and receive one on one help from the instructor.

Week One: Technical Camera Functions. This week will give you a solid grasp on ISO, SS and f-stops. Not only will you know what they are but also how to use them and why they are so important in creating a beautiful images.
Week Two: White Balance and Lighting. How do you get crisp, true colors in your photographs? Week two will teach you to turn off your flash and utilize your natural light!
Week Three: Composition. What gives a photograph interest? The way you as the photographer compose it! This lesson touches on setting up your shots, angles and controlling your environment (even tough ones, like birthday parties)!
Week Four: Techniques. This week adds some creative techniques to the mix. Aperture, focus, simple lighting techniques and more can really add the wow factor to any image!
