June Guest Designer: Jillian Deiling Cassity

As part of our ongoing makeover, we thought we'd infuse the site with some fresh creativity each month via a new guest designer. We're so excited to be able to spotlight some of our favorite scrapbookers, bloggers, and other ladies that we think are just fabulous and share their work with you!

Meet Jillian, our guest designer for the month of June. We love Jill's beautifully designed layouts with her unique use of layering and fun use of color! Be on the lookout for a free tutorial from Jill later this month!

Hi! My name is Jillian Deiling Cassity but most people just call me Jill. I'm a stay at home Mom and I reside in Oklahoma. I live with my hyper, crazy, yet adorable 4 year old son, Alex, and I just recently married my husband John, they're the best. :)

I am a girly-girl but I am often told that I have a crazy sense of humor. I'm a happy person almost all of the time, life is too short to focus on the negative!

I have had a love for arts and crafts for as long as I can remember. I grew up with artistic and crafty parents who always encouraged my creativity, I owe much of my love for arts and crafts to them. I love scrapbooking, sewing and crocheting the best, but scrapbooking is obviously my very favorite!

We caught up with Jill for a little scrapbook Q and A!

Q) What is your must have scrapbooking product?
A) I definitely love flowers the best. Paper flowers, fabric flowers, even flowers just cut out of patterned paper. It's almost like I can't make a page without them anymore!

Q) What one thing would people be surprised to learn about you?
A) I'm actually pretty shy- until you get to know me that is! Then you can't get me to stop talking! I'm kidding though, I'm not THAT bad. :)

Q) What three things inspire you the most?
A) First and foremost my family inspires me more than anything. I know that sounds so cliche, but it's true! My husband and son make me super happy and I find that if I'm not happy and content it's pretty hard to feel inspired to do anything. Next would be the environment around me- scenery, architecture and especially fashion. Sometimes I'll find that I'm looking at some random thing and it will suddenly remind me of a cute photo that I have and it'll give me a scrapbook page idea. The third thing would be my artistic and scrapbook friends that I've made in real life and online. It is so inspiring to be surrounded by people who share the same love of art that I do. I get inspired just talking to my friends or viewing their fabulous work!
