A quick and easy way to make your Valentine treats extra sweet this year! We're going to make one of them 3-D. You don't need special glasses to see it. You do need special glasses to see Avatar in 3-D. Make sure you do that, it's Wilna's favorite movie ever.

Valentine_TreatBagToppers1_What you'll need:
-A set of printable treat bag toppers like the one to the left (you can pick up that one here)
-3.5x3.5 treat bags or brown paper bags
-candy
-assorted embellishments
-scissors
-exacto knife
-staples or non-toxic adhesive

First, print out the treat bag toppers that you want to use. Then cut them out! I like to leave a little bit of a white border on them.
(TIP! If you are using brown paper bags, measure the paper to fit the bag and cut to size in a rectangule around the shape. This way the topper will take up the entire width of the bag and you can embellish the additional space with scrapbook supplies. Most people have brown paper bags in their cupboards so this will save you a trip to the store for treat bags!)

Forgive my terrible lighting. It's been raining for days over here and there's been no good light to shoot it. On the plus side, all the rain has given me an excuse to sing "Noah, he built, he built him an ark-y, ark-y, there's gonna be a flood-y, flood-y." I really love that song. It's right up there with My Heart Will Go On and Party In The USA ("I'm noddin my head like yeah, moving my hips like yeah.") IMPROMPTU MILEY CYRUS DANCE PARTY!
What? Oh right.
Stop dancing now because we're going to use sharp objects.
Now you want to fold the treat bag topper in half. For the scalloped treat bag topper, fold it in half and then unfold it. Now use an exacto knife to trace the edge of half of the white circle. Then fold the topper in half again, leaving the white part standing, like so:

I used scissors afterwards to trim up the top half of the circle so it was smooth and even. Not because I have OCD or anything. I just really like smooth edges, okay?
Then embellish the center! I used a circle tag from Making Memories and a piece of American Crafts flair. You could use stickers or stamps to make a monogram, add a flower or, well there are really infinite possibilities here. I'd list them all but I'm a very busy lady. I have to get back to my dance party.

These treat bags toppers are pretty versatile! We make them at Christmas time as well and they turned out super cute. When you purchase the toppers, you'll receive a bonus PDF with step by step instructions for attaching them with ribbon, like the ones shown below. ("Put my hands up they're playin my song..."
