Mother's Day is fast approaching and you know we love handmade gifts around here! So join Suzanne Sergi and learn how to make this beautiful framed artwork!
First, you'll need some supplies. This is a list of what Suzanne used, but you can cull through your stash and make substitutions for things you already have!

1 Oval 8x10 Frame
4x4 black and white snapshot
1. Remove glass from frame. Begin my cutting the MME Lush Black Finch Paper to fit in the oval opening of the frame. Use the paper packaging as a template, and cut the portion of the image you desire.
2. Stitch small flourishes onto three of the black felt flowers on the paper.
3. Take the rectangle artisan element, and give it a black wash. Set aside to dry.
4. Cut a 4x6 mat from the MMe Lush Blue Damask Paper. Stamp sentiment along the bottom. Mat with black cardstock (1/8 mat)
5. Cut a 2x9" strip from the MMe Lush Blue Diamonds Paper, and punch a border along one side
6. Gather two chipboard clocks ,and adhere brads through the centers
7. Cut the stems from the cameo roses, and with a small paint brush, apply a thin coat of glue. Sprinkle coarse glitter on top. Set aside to dry.
8. Punch 8 medallions with the medallion punch, and begin layering around one chipboard clock, overlapping as you go.
9. Adhere the border strip to the left of your oval pattern. Use the frame as a guide. Cut off the extra portion along the top.
10. Adhere the damask mat next to border strip.
11. Adhere 4x4 photo as shown. Embellish with small clip in upper right hand corner.
12. Adhere artisan element on top of mat and border. It should be touching the left side of frame.
13. Now begin to adhere your ribbon, on the left side of the page. You may use glue dots, but I find a hot glue gun is more effective when adhering your ribbon. There is not a right or wrong way to place your ribbon. Just have fun, and adhere a small amount of glue as you turn, twist, and pleat your ribbon. Begin the layering process on the artisan element.
14. Trim off the end of the ribbon as it reaches the bird, and secure with a rhinestone brad.
15. Begin the cluster of embellishments onto the artisan element.
16. To give the project more dimension, use pop dots to adhere your embellishments. Adhere your page to your frame!
17. You now have a beautiful frame for your home, or to give to someone special!
