Selective Color On A Black and White Photo

Hi!  I'm Stacey, nice to meet you!  In this tutorial, I'm going to walk you through the steps to make an image black & white, but leave one area in color.  I'll be using Adobe Photoshop CS4 to do this.  Before we begin, it will be helpful if you familiarize yourself with the Adjustments window (if it doesn't automatically pop up, select Window-Adjustments).  We'll be using several of the icons in this window during this tutorial.

Medallion Flowers

I am excited to share a little sample lesson from my upcoming In Bloom class! Teaching online and live classes is a passion of mine and I love every step of the journey. With each lesson you will learn a flower making technique plus a project that I know you will enjoy very much! Today, we'll be making a variation on a Medallion Flower and incorporating it into a framed welcome sign! - Andrea

Paperback Christmas Trees

This decorative tree is super cute, easy to make, and affordable. It's even a great craft to do with your kids, although I recommend letting an adult do the cutting with the exacto knife. That's how we do it in my house. I mean, we don't have kids but my husband is a little leery of leaving me alone with sharp objects. I can't ever imagine why.

VIP Mini Album

This is an older mini-album but I'm pulling it out of the archives to showcase because it is one of my favorites. It's simple to make and a great project to document the people in your lives! It would also make a great project for kids, with just a little adult supervision. Plus, it's an excellent way to use up scraps of paper and random embellishments!
  • As a tip- use soap coloring rather than food coloring or you will be dying your entire body as you use the finished soap!
